Writing
Into the final week of Couch-to-80K, which is basically just scheduled blocks of writing whatever the hell you want. A stepping stone into self-managed writing, I suppose. Today I made sure to do a list-based warm-up first, and then settled down to my actual project. I'm starting to get the shape of a plot outline, and although I've had a couple of off days this week, when I make the time for it (like today) I am still feeling really positive about both writing in general and this project in specific. So that's good.
Film
Caught a Wrath of Khan (1982) cinema rerun last weekend, which was as excellent as expected. This week I'm excited about new releases for a change: Three Thousand Years of Longing (2022) and See How They Run (2022). Hoping to see them both a.s.a.p.!
Craft
I've had the sewing kit out this week. First repairing my jeans (after watching a lot of much more romantic repairs on The Repair Shop), currently tidying up my Guide camp blanket, and then planning to jazz up a second-hand denim jacket. I find this kind of hand-sewing much easier to fit into my life than full-on dressmaking with the machine.
Life
Still feeling a tad existential this week. I suppose it's good that I've kept up the writing despite it!
